What the artist says:

In Cornwall there are many stretches of sandy beach that spread out below lined of granite cliffs. In this semi-abstract painting I wanted to express the sheer expanse of such an experience, as the beach trails off toward the distant horizon, where more cliffs can be seen - way out there almost beyond sight.
