The Deep Mood - Original Oil Painting by Steve Slimm

Whether atop Dartmoor in Devon, or on one of the lesser Cornish granite moorland landscapes, I never tire of bothe the dramatic and the subtle changes in atmosphere and mood. At times the moors feel light - even heady. Whilst at other times the mood can become profoundly introspective. This painting is one of my personal favourites in the the way it speaks so deeply to those times, when the world would know nothing of such intensity. How life itself can often reflect such landscapes of eternity.
